Insurance Associate

Position:
Insurance Associate will work with the Insurance Manager predominantly on transactional aviation insurance, company insurances and will be a key member of the team providing assistance to Contracts, Legal and other departments as required.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Review all customer aviation insurance and reinsurance certificates for engine deliveries and liaise with customers/their insurance brokers to ensure compliance with contract requirements and internal SES Risk policy;
- Work and liaise with the internal deal teams to provide sign-off on the insurance condition precedent prior to engine deliveries;
- Review insurance/reinsurance certificates for all technical services agreements and manage the renewals process;
- Manage the customer insurance/reinsurance renewals process, liaise with customers/their insurance brokers to obtain timely receipt of renewal certificates, review all renewal certificates and ensure renewals are closed out within strict timelines;
- Update and maintain all insurance related data on the SES databases, including contractual information, and create and generate reports for monitoring insurance compliance across the SES portfolio;
- Manage and liaise with stakeholders on reporting requirements and the provision of insurance documentation as required;
- Liaise with external insurance advisors on insurance due diligence matters;
- Provide assistance to the Contracts & Legal team in dealing with administration in relation to insurance claims management;
- Provide assistance to the Contracts & Legal team by collating insurance information and generating reports for the purchase of both SES’ aviation and non-aviation insurances;
- Assist in developing, maintaining & revising of processes & procedures, including compliance manuals;
- Participate in various cross-functional initiatives & business development; and
- Provide ad hoc assistance on any other insurance related matters.

Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2 years relevant experience dealing with contracts/insurance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly identify and prioritise issues, devise solutions and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel along with strong IT skills including databases.
- Flexibility and strong team player with self-motivation.
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work with a variety of teams.
- Prior experience in the aviation leasing industry, or a CII qualification in Aviation Insurance an advantage but not essential for the role.
