Responsibilities:

Working within the Technical Function to ensure:

  • That the maintenance standards of the SES owned and managed fleet of CFM56 and Leap engines comply with applicable airworthiness regulations and best industry standards.
  • Support regional teams for lease transitions, lease deliveries and redeliveries.
  • Review technical recommendations provided by SES’s Technical Service Provider’s (TSP) and how they may impact the SES owned and managed asset fleet of engines.
  • Review technical publications as they are issued and provide implementation plan as appropriate.
  • Provide technical support in all aspects of engine maintenance and leasing activities.
  • Provide input into shop visit forecasting and budgetary planning of engine maintenance costs and expenditures.
  • Co-ordinate engine shop visits and significant maintenance events to ensure compliance with engine workscopes and manufacturers recommendations.
  • Recommend policies concerning operations that can impact engine maintenance costs including but not limited to harsh environments and special applications
  • Provide detailed reports and analysis as required on SES owned and managed portfolio of engines.
  • Ensure that applicable information in the SES lease management database is complete and accurate and participate in the on-going development of IT solutions.
  • Produce reports and statistical data, including financial budgets, as requested from time to time.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering or Aircraft maintenance engineers license or equivalent.

• 5 Years aviation industry experience in a technical environment.

• Previous experience with CFM56 and/or LEAP fleets is an advantage

• Excellent analytical, diagnostic and research skills.

• Self-motivator with effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Strong PC skills with good knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, in particular, Excel

• Ability to work effectively in a high demand environment with a positive energy and attitude.

• Established credibility and experience interfacing with Senior leadership.

• Willing and able to travel overseas at short notice as required by the role.
