Role:

The principal objective of the position is to oversee the development and use of data systems, ensuring that data is accurate, available, and secure. Key responsibilities include establishing data quality standards and implementing data privacy policies to ensure compliance with regulations. You will be responsible for designing and deploying efficient data management strategies, optimizing data collection procedures, and facilitating data accessibility for analysis and decision-making processes within the organization. You will play a critical role in translating data into actionable insights that support strategic objectives and drive business performance.

This is a broad role at a senior level in the IT team and will include elements of data governance, data strategy and architecture, business intelligence, data integration and interoperability, data culture, and operational management. This role will include:

· Review business requirements together with stakeholders to deliver high level data solution.

· Establish and Implement a BI governance framework using proven best practices.

· Maintain and promote a consistent and secure BI data modelling practice.

· Agile management and scrum master, maintaining roadmap, tasks, and making sure everyone in the team is working towards a clear goal.

· Manage the maintenance and development of the access control portal related to our frontend BI applications.

· Educate business leaders and be an evangelist for the promotion and adoption of BI solutions.

· Develop a training roadmap and certification for business users.

· Definition and implementation of company BI strategy and architecture, overseeing collaboration across project teams base in different countries and time ones.

· Act as business intelligence architect including Azure cloud solution as well as machine learning implementation and PowerBi.

· Ensuring appropriate tools and technologies are in place to support data analytics.

· Assist in designing and standardizing data and information are accessible to decision makers.

· Develop effective business intelligence strategies and analytics solutions to gain actionable business insights to optimize organizational efficiency.

 

Candidate profile:

· Educated to a degree level in Information Technology or Sciences

· Fluent spoken English, be currently based in Ireland and be already authorised to work freely for any employer in Ireland.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and design innovative data solutions.

· Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead and mentor a team of consultants and drive successful project outcomes.

· Career level is 6 – 10 years professional IT experience.

· 6+ years professional work experience in data management, Data Analytics, or similar role.

· Extensive knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.

· Familiarity with a wide range of database technologies, both traditional and modern, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data platforms.

· Experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and practices.

· Experience of Data warehouse functional analysis and documentation and of Data warehouse modelling.

· Strong Microsoft platform background including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power Bi (Power View, Power Query, Power Maps, Power Pivot) and SharePoint.

· Strong experience of data governance and creating data policies.

· Relevant industry experience in defining and establishing data management strategies and implementations.

· Working knowledge of Master Data platforms, data cataloguing and lineage solutions.

· Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and SQL, with experience in multiple database platforms.

· Azure Data Factory, Azure Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Lake Analytics and Hadoop practitioner desirable.
