The Job:
  • Global tax compliance for the group across various tax heads such as Corporation Tax and VAT
  • International tax planning and analysis
  • Analysis of specific emerging tax developments and their impact on the SES Group.
  • Jurisdictional tax exposure analysis, associated reporting and mitigation measures
  • Drafting of responses to tax audits where they arise
  • Assist in managing systems tax data and processes for accurate reporting
  • Ad hoc tax related matters relating to SES & Subsidiaries as they arise
  • Liaising with and management of relationships with external service providers, advisors and shareholder tax teams
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Support the tax function in tax reporting and compliance obligations for Shannon Engine Support Limited and subsidiaries.
  • Support the business team on deal related tax matters for the leasing, housekeeping, purchase and sale of aircraft engines, shop visits and other major decisions.  This includes but is not limited to new product design and introduction, financial analysis, international direct and indirect tax issues, global permanent establishment issues, withholding taxes, as well as the application of double tax treaties
  • Assist the tax team in the preparation of tax accounting for all entities, domestic and international return preparation and filing, tax payments, deferred tax accounting, tax account reconciliations.
  • Assist the tax team to ensure the adequacy and functioning of all tax processes and information systems used within the business
  • Assist the tax team in managing domestic and foreign tax audits and information requests
  • Assist the tax team in managing outside service providers and tax advisors, where necessary, for tax return preparation and the review of tax opinions and advice
  • Assist the tax team in managing any structural changes within the business such as new subsidiary set up, wind ups, restructurings etc
  • Assist in developing and managing the transfer pricing policy for consistency with global tax requirements. Help in monitoring and ensuring compliance with the established transfer pricing policy
  • Be the focal point for all compliance subjects in relation to the subsidiaries and ensure with the support of the local service providers that each subsidiary is compliant with local tax laws

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Institute of Taxation in Ireland or UK or equivalent international tax qualification
  • Minimum 1+ years of relevant tax experience
  • Validation of eligibility to work in Ireland
